At Advance Systems for Research and Applications Technology (AsRa Tech), we’re pushing the boundaries of vehicle performance with cutting-edge Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis. One of our latest projects focuses on enhancing vehicle aerodynamics to improve fuel efficiency, reduce emissions, and boost overall performance.
The Challenge:
Inefficiencies such as flow separation and areas of high drag disrupt smooth airflow around vehicles, compromising their aerodynamic performance.
Our Solution:
Using ANSYS FLUENT, our team analyzed a detailed vehicle CAD model to identify problem areas and evaluate innovative solutions such as vortex generator air curtains and strakes. These technologies hold the potential to significantly reduce drag and enhance efficiency. Additionally, we modelled three key coolers—radiator cooler, oil cooler, and intercooler—using porous media for accurate simulations.
