Category: Fluid Dynamics, Simulation, Chiller Systems
At AsRa Tech, we continue to leverage the power of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to provide practical solutions across various industries. In this project, we performed a steady-state simulation of a room with a chiller system to assess airflow dynamics and optimize cooling efficiency.
Simulation Details:
Using a Pressure-Based Solver with the SST K-w Turbulence Model, we simulated airflow under sea-level conditions with an ambient temperature of 304 K. A velocity inlet was applied to simulate freestream flow at 20.83 m/s, while the walls were set to no-slip boundary conditions. The density of air was held constant, replicating real-life conditions for accurate results.
Our Objective:
This detailed analysis aims to improve the performance of chiller systems by understanding airflow patterns and their impact on cooling efficiency. By refining room layouts and airflow designs, we help our clients achieve better energy savings and performance.
